What Happens?
Everyone grows up with dreams of saving the world, but no single person has the power to do that alone. Instead, individuals should work towards bettering themselves and the community around them. Through this class I have the opportunity to do just that. If you were able to walk into Mr. Large's class room during fourth period you might be surprised by what you see. There are no tests, no quizzes or homework, in fact, there are no assignments at all. You will only find students, students with drive, students with passions, students working to change their school and community for the better. Each student has a project, perhaps several, that they feel strongly about. The student has class time to work on making their project a reality. We have students passionate about childhood education, nutrition, sports, caring for the elderly, feeding the less fortunate, providing for the homeless, and working with music therapy. Through out year students work to make their dreams a reality, and this blog is the story of my journey. I will document the lessons I learn, the failures I have, and the success my projects have. This blog is the story of me, Louis Holbrook, learning about what truly matters.
